Whether you are interested in earning your RYT 200 Yoga Alliance Certification or diving deep in to yogic studies to enhance your personal practice, this program is designed to help you reach your goals.
We offer a comprehensive curriculum covering the essentials of yoga philosophy, teaching methodology, and practical techniques in postures, breathing, mantra, and meditation. This program will offer students the opportunity to create a solid foundation for both personal practice and for becoming a certified yoga teacher.
Asana Technique, Teaching Methods, and Practical Yoga Anatomy: This section of the training focuses on the key categories of yoga postures: Sun Salutations, Standing Poses, Backbends, Forward Folds, Twists, Core, and Inversions. Students will study functional anatomy, biomechanics and kinesiology. Emphasis is placed on learning to observe students effectively and provide safe, meaningful guidance through alignment principles, modifications, hands-on adjustments, assisting techniques, and the use of props.
History and Philosophy: This section includes the study of certain yoga philosophies and traditional texts. Studies include: Patanjali’s Eight Limbs of Yoga, Yoga Sutras, an overview of the Bhagavad Gita, history of yoga, and an introduction to the use of Sanskrit.
Planning and Sequencing: Learn the art and science of sequencing entire classes for different levels of students, setting intentions, setting themes, and styles.
Seeing, Relating, Demonstrating, Cuing: Learn to observe, appreciate, and understand what is happening with different students to develop the skills to work with all bodies and abilities. You will learn to effectively demonstrate yoga poses while giving clear, concise instructions using the qualities of voice, tone, and audibility.
Practice Teaching: You will work with other participants teaching classes to develop the confidence and skill to lead larger classes. Each practice teaching session includes feedback and discussion of teaching techniques and methods.
Hands-On Assisting: One on one assisting to learn, practice, and refine your techniques for guiding students in and out of poses.
Pranayama: Study includes basic breathing techniques including 3-part breathing, breath retention, Ujjayi breath, and more intermediate techniques including alternate nostril breathing, Sitali, Kapalabhati, and Bhramari.
Meditation Practice: We will explore several meditation techniques including Breath meditation, Japa meditation, Mantra, Kirtan and more.
Subtle Energetic Body and Ayurveda: Understanding that the subtle energetic body is the template to the physical body we will cover Nadis, Koshas, Bandhas, Chakras, and the Vayus. Introduction to Ayurveda and the five elements, Doshas, Gunas, and the Dinacharaya.
Pre-Natal Yoga: Here you will learn how to adapt the practice for each trimester of pregnancy, indications and contraindications for various conditions, effective use of props, emotional and psychological aspects of pre-natal, preparation, delivery and post-partum reintegration through yoga.
Lifestyle & Ethics, Selfless Service: Explore the bigger picture of how we live our lives off the mat including nutrition, personal yoga and meditation practice, relations with family, friends, co-workers and community. Learn how to live with dignity, integrity, and respect for all beings.

Note: This program will include meditations on some Monday evenings 7:15-8:15pm (Virtual and In-Person options) and home study.
*Home study assignments begin 2 weeks before training starts. Assignments will be sent via email with instructions for completion prior to the start of this yoga teacher training program.

Early Registration: $2800 (on or before September 1, 2025)
Regular Registration: $3200 (after September 1, 2025)
To be eligible to receive early discount pricing you must meet the following criteria:
- $500 deposit due with application
- Upon acceptance, half tuition ($1150) due October 1, 2025
- Remaining balance ($1150) due November 1, 2025

200 HR Certified Yoga Teacher Certification (pending all program requirements are met), Transformative Yoga Teacher Training Manual, guest teacher workshops, and access to classes taught by Gena and Stacy throughout the training program.
